About Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Plan (DRP/BCP) for Small Business

When ransomware, a fire or a prolonged outage hits, recovery depends on decisions made in advance: who does what, in which order, and from which backups. This engagement produces a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) tailored to how your company actually works, not a generic template.

We run business impact analysis workshops with your managers to rank critical processes and systems, then set recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) for each. We compare those targets with your current backups and infrastructure, document the gaps, and write step-by-step recovery runbooks, contact trees and communication templates.

Every plan is validated with at least one tabletop exercise in which your team walks through a realistic scenario. The documents follow the structure of NIST SP 800-34 contingency planning guidance, which makes them easy for insurers, auditors and lenders to review.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a template we fill in ourselves?

No. We interview your managers, review your systems and write the plan for you. Your team reviews and approves each section, and you receive editable source documents.

Does the plan include recovery infrastructure?

The project designs and documents recovery. If the gap analysis shows you need offsite backups, standby servers or an alternate site, we provide a separate proposal, and you are free to use any provider.

How much time does our team need to commit?

Typically two to four workshops of about two hours with your managers, plus a few hours from IT for technical review and exercises.

How often should the plan be updated?

At least once a year and after any major change, such as a new office, system or key vendor. Enterprise includes one update within 12 months; updates for other tiers can be quoted separately.
