FortiGate firewalls only stay effective with active FortiGuard security services and FortiCare support. This service supplies the Fortinet subscriptions for the FortiGate estate you already own — FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP) or Enterprise Protection bundles — together with FortiAnalyzer centralized logging and, on higher tiers, FortiEDR endpoint protection.
Fortinet contracts are tied to device serial numbers and tend to expire on different dates as hardware is added. We consolidate your contracts, co-term renewals where Fortinet permits, register everything in your FortiCare account and report monthly on expiring services, firmware support status and features you are paying for but not using.
Subscriptions are subject to Fortinet’s end-user license agreement and service terms. They cannot be transferred between devices, generally cannot be cancelled once registered, and Fortinet price changes may apply at renewal.

The Fortinet subscriptions listed in your tier for one year, FortiCare support included in the bundles, and TechSpire licensing administration: procurement, registration, compliance reporting and renewals. Subscriptions are subject to Fortinet’s end-user license agreement and service terms. Firewall hardware is not included; for hardware-included managed firewalls, see Firewall & Network Security.
You can add devices at any time; their subscriptions are prorated and co-termed to your renewal date where Fortinet permits. Fortinet subscriptions are tied to device serial numbers, cannot be moved to another device and generally cannot be cancelled once registered, so reductions happen at renewal.
Fortinet eventually stops selling renewals for older models. Our monthly report flags affected devices at least 12 months ahead so you can plan replacements; new hardware is quoted separately.
Your TechSpire price is fixed for each 12-month period, whether you pay monthly or annually; monthly billing does not shorten the commitment. Fortinet price changes may apply at renewal, and we notify you in writing at least 30 days in advance.
