About Citrix DaaS & Virtual Apps and Desktops Licensing

Citrix DaaS and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deliver Windows and Linux applications and desktops to any device, managed from a cloud-hosted control plane or from your own data center. This service supplies Citrix user licenses for 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000 users, in the edition Cloud Software Group offers for your user count and deployment model at the time of order, and manages them for you.

We size the license model to how people actually connect, register entitlements to your Citrix account, track usage every month and plan renewals early — which matters because Citrix packaging and minimums have changed several times in recent years.

Licenses are subject to Cloud Software Group’s end-user terms for Citrix products. Users can be added during the term, prorated to your renewal date; subscriptions generally cannot be reduced or cancelled once ordered, and publisher price changes may apply at renewal. Hosting infrastructure and Microsoft Windows access rights are licensed separately.

What does the price include, and which terms apply?

The Citrix user licenses in your tier for one year and TechSpire licensing administration: procurement, entitlement registration, compliance reporting and renewals. Licenses are subject to Cloud Software Group’s end-user terms for Citrix products.

Can we add users or reduce the count during the term?

You can add users at any time, prorated to your renewal date. Citrix subscriptions generally cannot be reduced or cancelled once ordered, so we review usage before renewal and adjust the user count then.

Does the price include servers, cloud capacity or Windows licenses?

No. The machines that run your apps and desktops — in Azure, another public cloud or your data center — and Microsoft access rights such as RDS CALs or Windows VDA licenses are separate. We can provide hosting through Managed Private Cloud or Microsoft Azure Committed Spend, Managed.

Will the price change at renewal?

Your TechSpire price is fixed for each 12-month period, whether you pay monthly or annually; monthly billing does not shorten the commitment. Publisher price or packaging changes may apply at renewal, and we notify you in writing at least 30 days in advance.
