About Microsoft 365 Copilot Licensing

Microsoft 365 Copilot brings generative AI into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, grounded in the email, files, chats and meetings each user is already allowed to access. This subscription provides Copilot licenses for 300, 600 or 1,200 users together with the preparation work that makes a rollout safe and worth the spend.

Because Copilot surfaces whatever content a user has permission to open, oversharing in SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams becomes visible quickly. Before seats are assigned, we review sharing settings and sensitivity labels, identify overshared sites and agree on remediation with your team. We then roll out in waves, train users by role and use Microsoft’s usage reports to move idle seats to people who will use them.

Each Copilot user needs a qualifying Microsoft 365 or Office 365 base license, which is not included here and can be supplied through our Microsoft 365 Enterprise Licensing service. Copilot licenses are subject to the Microsoft Customer Agreement and Microsoft’s product terms.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need other Microsoft licenses first?

Yes. Microsoft requires each Copilot user to have a qualifying base license, such as Microsoft 365 E3 or E5, Office 365 E3 or E5, or Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Business Premium. Base licenses are not included in this price; we can supply them through our Microsoft 365 Enterprise Licensing service.

What does the price include, and which terms apply?

The Copilot licenses for one year, TechSpire licensing administration (procurement, assignment, compliance reporting and renewals) and the readiness review, rollout planning and training listed in your tier. The licenses are subject to the Microsoft Customer Agreement and Microsoft’s product terms.

Can we change the number of licenses during the term?

You can add licenses at any time, prorated to your renewal date. Microsoft only allows cancellations or reductions within its short window after purchase or renewal (currently 7 days); after that, commitments generally cannot be reduced or cancelled until renewal, so we help you reassign idle seats instead.

Will the price change at renewal?

Your TechSpire price is fixed for each 12-month period, whether you pay monthly or annually; monthly billing does not shorten the annual commitment. If Microsoft changes its Copilot pricing, the change may apply from your next renewal or anniversary date, and we notify you in writing at least 30 days in advance.
