About Veeam Data Platform Licensing

Veeam Data Platform protects virtual machines, physical servers, cloud workloads, file shares and object storage under one portable license, the Veeam Universal License (VUL). This service supplies VUL subscriptions in packs of 1,000 instances, in the Foundation, Advanced or Premium edition, administered by TechSpire.

Instances are portable across workloads: when you retire a virtual machine and protect a new cloud server, the license follows. We install and track license files, compare instance consumption with your entitlement every month, plan capacity before renewals and advise on keeping Veeam Backup & Replication on a supported version.

Licenses are subject to Veeam’s end-user license agreement. Instances can be added during the term, prorated to your renewal date; subscriptions generally cannot be reduced or cancelled once issued, and Veeam price changes may apply at renewal.

What does the price include, and which terms apply?

The Veeam Universal License subscription for 1,000 instances per pack for one year, Veeam production support that comes with it, and TechSpire licensing administration: procurement, license files, compliance reporting and renewals. Licenses are subject to Veeam’s end-user license agreement.

Can we add instances or reduce the count during the term?

You can add instances at any time, prorated to your renewal date. Subscriptions generally cannot be reduced or cancelled once issued, so we review consumption before each renewal and right-size the pack count then.

Is Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 included?

No. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is licensed separately, per user, and can be quoted on request. If you would rather not run backup software yourself, see our Offsite Backup service.

Will the price change at renewal?

Your TechSpire price is fixed for each 12-month period, whether you pay monthly or annually; monthly billing does not shorten the commitment. Veeam price changes may apply at renewal, and we notify you in writing at least 30 days in advance.
